Date: 02 March 2022

Time: 19:00

Covid-19 Lastest Information

A lack of staffing due to COVID and other sickness has led to the continued and additional closure of a number of classes within Stromness Primary School tomorrow, Thursday 3 March, and Friday.

On Thursday only P1, P4 and P6 should attend at the school -  P2, P3, P5 and P7 will be closed.

It’s a similar picture for Friday – open will be P1, P4, P5 may return, and P6. Closed will be P2, P3 and P7.

Eday School will be closed on Thursday, again due to staffing issues.

Pupils will be provided with online learning.

Updates are being communicated by schools directly with parents and carers as quickly as possible.

The Council’s Education Team appreciates everyone’s support as school communities throughout Orkney endeavor to manage the widespread COVID situation currently afflicting most areas.
