Participatory Budgets
Basically, a local vote for how money is spent, the Scottish Government supports PB as a tool for community empowerment and equal opportunity in decision-making. PB contributes to community well-being; requires strong Council support; a civil society willing and able to contribute to policy debates; a supportive political environment that insulates PB from legislative loopholes and financial resources to fund such projects supported by citizens.
