The event was a photographic exhibition of the building of the Churchill Barriers, which had never been viewed publicly before.

The Exhibition opening day followed the event at the Barriers Café when the 75th Anniversary of the Barriers opening finally was able to proceed after 2 years of delay owing to Covid. Through that we have made contacts with them as well as the Italian Chapel who kindly share and distribute our free leaflets.

We were fortunate in being offered several good exhibition pieces to include for the duration of our exhibition which added to the history of the blockship period and the Rockworks headquarters. There is now a small triangular tour opportunity of visiting the chapel, the café and our exhibition all within the short distance of 4 miles.

Locally there is more awareness of our venue, which has increased our visitor numbers and the involvement with local tour guides has also been advantageous.

We have further photographic materials to display as well as having awakened a feeling of interest from the local community with the intention for us to develop our local community archive further.

We have exceeded our anticipated visitor numbers and are very happy with the proceeds from this year.

A survey for anyone to complete highlighted some ideas for further development and opportunity.
