Orkney Islands Council has experienced technical issues today (Wednesday 20 January) with the recycling vehicle serving Shapinsay.
As a result, and because the vehicle must return to Kirkwall on the 15:15 ferry, the Council has been unable to collect from all properties on Shapinsay today.
Another vehicle has been booked to travel to Shapinsay tomorrow (Thursday 21 January) to uplift any recycling which was not collected today.
The Council apologies to households affected and advises them to have their recycling out again by 8:00 tomorrow for collection.
