Temporary Closure of Road in Stromness for RNLI Parade

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users while RNLI Stromness hold an event.

The order will be in operation on Sunday, 5 May 2024 between the hours of 13.00 to 17:00 and its effect will be to close (1) Ferry Road, from the exit from the Ferry Terminal car park to Victoria Street; (2) John Street, from property No 27 to Victoria Street; (3) Church Rd; (4) Alfred Street; (5) Victoria Street; (6) Dundas Street; (7) Graham Place; (8) Ness Road; and (9) Back Road, Wellpark access to Ness Road, all streets in Stromness.

Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
