Orkney Partnership for Action Against Gender Based Violence and Abuse

Domestic abuse is common! According to the Scottish Government a domestic abuse incident is recorded every 10 minutes in Scotland, with 58,104 incidents recorded in 2015-2016.

Domestic abuse is unacceptable and you have the right to be safe. You do have options and there are people who can help you.

The Orkney Domestic Abuse Forum (incorporating the Violence Against Women partnership), known as D.A.F., is a partnership organisation working to reduce and prevent incidents of domestic abuse in Orkney.

Through effective communication between public, third and private sectors organisations the forum strives to ensure the provision of high-quality, appropriate services to those experiencing, affected by or at risk of domestic abuse.
