Youth Justice

Orkney Health and Care's Social Work Youth Service offers advice and support to young people and their families. This includes statutory duties such as preparing reports for the Children's Reporter and the Court.

Young people who have been in care can also access Throughcare and Aftercare support.

The service includes specially trained staff who provide a Youth Justice service, working directly with young people who have offended or are at risk of offending. This supports the Scottish Government's Whole System Approach, which aims to prevent and reduce offending among young people.
