Domestic abuse support

Domestic abuse is more common than many people realise. According to the Scottish Government, an incident is recorded every 10 minutes in Scotland, with 58,104 incidents recorded in 2015/16.

Domestic abuse is never acceptable, and you have the right to be safe. There are people who can help, and you do have options.

The Orkney Domestic Abuse Forum (DAF), which includes the Violence Against Women Partnership, works across public, private, and voluntary sector organisations to reduce and prevent domestic abuse in Orkney, and to make sure people affected by it, or at risk of it, get the right support.
