Are you eligible for a course?
- You can apply even if you already have a degree.
- You will just need to demonstrate that your current post requires different skills and there is a demand for the specific knowledge and skills offered by the course
Application Process:
- If you want to apply for a course, then get in touch with us at Learn.Develop@orkney.gov.uk and we will put you in contact with the University Lead.
- You will need to apply for funding through the Students Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). The university will guide you through this process.
Course Requirements:
- The majority of the course will be delivered remotely, depending on the university’s requirements.
- Most courses also require some face-to-face presence on campus which will mean costs for travel, so check these details with your line manager first.
To qualify for Graduate Apprenticeship funding, you must:
- Have settled status and been living in the United Kingdom (UK), the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
- Have been living in one of these places for the three years immediately before the start of the course.
- Also be living (ordinarily resident) in Scotland on the day the course starts.
