Trading standards
Our Trading Standards team works to protect the interests of consumers and businesses in Orkney by enforcing consumer and business legislation, investigating complaints, and providing free advice and education.
We inspect trade premises, test equipment, sample goods and investigate complaints. We also work closely with partner agencies including Police Scotland and Advice Direct Scotland.
