Drive Electric for Less with Salary Sacrifice

Our new EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme is now open to staff!

Run in partnership with DriveElectric and supported locally by ReFLEX Orkney, the scheme gives you a more affordable way to drive a new or used electric vehicle. Because payments come from your gross salary, you save on Income Tax and National Insurance.

How to get started

Register your interest with DriveElectric by completing their salary sacrifice onboarding survey.

DriveElectric will then send you regular updates and information to help you decide whether the scheme is right for you.

Who can apply?

The scheme is open to employees with an annual gross salary of £31,000 or more, including Distant Islands Allowance and any other guaranteed contractual payments. This makes sure taking part doesn't reduce anyone's pay below the National Minimum Wage.

Important information

Taking part in the scheme is subject to eligibility criteria. Terms, conditions and exclusions apply.

Leasing a vehicle through salary sacrifice reduces your taxable salary. This can save you tax and National Insurance, but it may also affect your pension benefits, depending on your circumstances and pension arrangements. Think about how it could affect your pension and retirement planning, and seek independent financial advice where appropriate before making a decision.
