Marches and processions licensing
We licence public processions, marches and parades, and work closely with Police Scotland to make sure they're organised safely and cause minimal disruption.
If you're organising a public procession, march or parade, you must give us at least 28 days' notice. If you can't give this much notice, contact us, we can only grant an exemption in exceptional circumstances.
To apply, complete the Notice of Proposal to Hold a Public Procession form, along with a risk assessment. You'll also need to read and agree to the Code of Conduct. Keep a copy of your form, we'll pass a copy of your notification on to the police.
If we hold a meeting to discuss your notification, bring your copy of the form and risk assessment with you.
