Application search and submission

Search for a Planning Application

Our Public Access service lets you search for and view information on planning applications and appeals. You can:

  • View the basic details of any application submitted since 2005
  • View plans and documents for applications submitted since January 2008
  • Check whether an appeal has been lodged, for cases going back to 2003
  • Follow the progress of an application
  • Create and save your own weekly lists of applications
  • View planning applications and appeals online

New applications and their documents are added to the service within 5 working days of being received, once they have passed our initial validation checks.

Before using Public Access, please read the Disclaimer and Copyright document. You'll be asked to confirm you've read and understood it before continuing.

Submit an Application Online

  • Find out about the planning process
  • Apply for planning permission
  • Download application forms and guidance notes
  • Submit an appeal or a notice of review against a planning decision

Guidance on completing and submitting forms is built into the ePlanning website, or you can download the ePlanning Scotland User Guide.
