Road Construction Consent

Application forms for Road Construction Consent and Road Bond for new road developments that may be offered for adoption onto the list of public roads.

Introduction

The attached forms are used within the Construction Consent process for development roads that may be offered for adoption. The use of these forms is explained within the National Roads Development Guide (August 2014) in respect of developments within the Orkney Islands Council area.

Charges for Road Construction Consent

The schedule of charges is based on the estimated cost of construction of any new section of road. This should be agreed with and paid to the Council’s Roads Services prior to consent being granted.
