How we consult
We consult in a variety of ways depending on the issue - from large-scale public consultations to smaller surveys and community events. This page explains the approach we take and how we respond to consultations from other organisations.

Our approach
We follow the Community Consultation and Engagement Guidelines developed by the Orkney Community Planning Partnership. These set out the standards we aim to meet when consulting with communities and are regularly updated to reflect best practice.

We regularly respond to consultations from the Scottish Government and other public bodies on matters that affect Orkney. We publish our responses where we are able to do so.
