Telecare and the Mobile Responder Service
Telecare means continuously and automatically monitoring someone remotely for emergencies or changes in their daily life, helping manage the risks of living independently.
Self Directed Support
Self-Directed Support (SDS) is a personalised approach to social care that gives people more choice, control, and flexibility, to improve quality of life for both supported individuals and unpaid carers. It's set out in the Social Care (Self-Directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013, which takes a human rights based approach to personalising social care across Scotland.
Direct Payment
Direct Payments (also known as Self-Directed Support) are a way of meeting your care needs once these have been identified through a community care assessment (for adults and older people) or a children's services assessment.
Occupational Therapy, Sensory Impairment and Selbro
This service can help anyone struggling with daily living tasks due to disability, age, or health. Our Sensory Impairment Team carries out specialist assessments for people with sight and/or hearing loss.
