Counting down to the first free Multiply numeracy course for adults!

Date: 26 May 2023

Time: 14:00

Multiply Funded by UK Government

Applications are open for the first free numeracy course in Orkney to be delivered by The Learning Link through Multiply – a new programme aimed at transforming the lives of adults by improving numeracy skills.

The Numeracy National 4 course starts on Monday 12 June at The Learning Link, 2 St Rognvald Street, Kirkwall, and runs over eight sessions until 31 July on Mondays from 12.30pm-2.30pm.

To register for a place contact Kate Wilden, Adult Learning Support Worker and course tutor at The Learning Link via thelearninglinkenquiries@orkney.gov.uk (01856) 879200 (answering machine) or 07721 579753 by Monday 5 June 2023.

Whilst this course is aimed at anyone aged 19 and over, if there are specific people in the 16-19 age bracket who are keen to progress their learning, then The Learning Link can help in other ways.

The Learning Link – the Council’s Community Learning Development & Employability (CLDE) dedicated adult learning centre - launched Multiply in Orkney earlier this month alongside Orkney College UHI and Voluntary Action Orkney.

The Learning Link received £306,379 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for a three-year programme to deliver the Multiply programme.
