The Orkney Islands Council (Remembrance Day) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during the Remembrance Day service and wreath laying ceremony in Broad Street, Kirkwall.
The Order will be in operation on Sunday 13 November 2022 between the hours of 10.00am and 12.30pm and its effect will be to close Albert Street (Laing Street to Broad Street); Broad Street; Castle Street; Junction Road (Pickaquoy Road to the entrance to Castle Street car park); Palace Road; Tankerness Lane; Victoria Street (from Broad Street to Victoria Road); and Watergate (from Buttquoy Crescent to Palace Road), all in Kirkwall, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
