Gambling can affect people in different ways and can have an impact on your finances, your mental and physical wellbeing, relationships and performance at work. This page provides information, support and resources for anyone who may be experiencing gambling related harm.
What GamCare can offer
GamCare is an organisation who offer free one-to one online and telephone therapeutic support and treatment for people experiencing gambling harm, as well as family and friends who are impacted by gambling. The GamCare helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and can provide brief interventions and make referrals to support services options across the network. The GamCare national gambling helpline is accredited by the Helplines Partnership.
GamCare offer online treatment whereby the individual is supported by regular contact with a therapist, which can be accessed at a time and place convenient for the client over the course of eight weeks. There are also group-based gambling recovery courses delivered online for between six to eight weeks.
