Throughout March, sportscotland is raising the profile of women in sport. In Orkney, there are many women who continue to break down barriers. 

Two intrepid literary explorers are hoping they won’t be ‘overdue’ when they attempt to travel 1,100 miles across the UK to visit seven libraries – including Orkney Library & Archive - in six days to promote accessible reading services. 

Kinship Care Week runs from 11-15 March 2024 and in a bid to link up fellow kinship carers – also known as family and friends’ carers - an informal afternoon of coffee, cake and chat is being held at The Storehouse Restaurant, Bridge Street Wynd, Kirkwall on Wednesday 13 March from 1pm-3pm.
