Orkney’s two MSYPs, Nymeria Drayak and Iain Pretswell, joined counterparts from Shetland and the Western Isles on a visit to Edinburgh recently, aimed at enhancing their understanding of parliamentary processes, fostering collaboration, and advocating for the unique needs of island communities.

Staff at St Rognvald House in Kirkwall have been planning a series of events throughout 2024 for their biggest target yet – raising enough funds for a summer house, polytunnel and men’s shed for their new-build facility.

Two milestones were reached in St Magnus Cathedral recently.

The Council’s summer holiday free school meal payments should be arriving in people’s bank accounts this week.
