Waste and recycling arrangements for upcoming Easter break

Orkney Islands Council is advising of waste and recycling arrangements over the upcoming Easter break and Easter Monday public holiday (21 April). 

Kerbside waste and recycling collections

These will run as normal on the Monday public holiday (21 April) 

Arrangements for our Household Waste and Recycling Centres are as follows: 

• Hatston HWRC - open as normal Saturday and Sunday, closed (as normal) Monday 21 April 
• Garson HWRC - open as normal Saturday and Sunday, closed (as normal) Monday 21 April 
• St Margarets Hope recycling centre - open as normal including on Monday 21 April 
• Cursiter recycling centre - closed Monday 21 April 
• Chinglebraes open as normal for trade customers, including Monday 21 April 

Please remember, our household waste and recycling centres are very popular on weekends, so if you are having a clear out this Easter you may want to consider making your trip to the tip on a weekday. 

Remember Hatston, Bossack and Garson will be closed on Easter Monday (21 April), as per normal for a Monday.
