The Orkney Islands Council (Stromness Remembrance Day Parade) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during a Remembrance Day Parade.

The Order will be in operation on Sunday, 9 November 2025 from 1030 to 1300 and its effect will be to close (1) Victoria Street, from its junction with Ferry Road to John Street; (2) John Street; (3) North End Road, from John Street to North End Roundabout; (4) A965 (North End Road, from North End Roundabout to Stromness Swimming Pool car park); and (5) Hillside Road to A965 link road, all in Stromness, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
