The Orkney Islands Council (Royal British Legion Victory Over Japan Event) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during a Victory Over Japan Event.

The Order will be in operation on Friday, 15 August 2025 between the hours of 1015 and 1130 and its effect will be to close (1) Albert Street, (2) Bridge Street, (3) Broad Street, (from Albert Street to Palace Road), and (4) Castle Street (from car park exit to Broad Street), all in Kirkwall, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
