The Orkney Islands Council (Royal British Legion VE Day Event) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during a VE Day Event.

The Order will be in operation on Thursday 8 May 2025 between 10.15am and 11.30 am and its effect will be to close (1) Albert Street, (2) Bridge Street, (3) Broad Street, (from Albert Street to Palace Road), and (4) Castle Street (from car park exit to Broad Street), all in Kirkwall, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
