The Orkney Islands Council (Outertown Road, Stromness) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of site personnel and road users while cable duct is installed for a new substation.

The Order will be in operation from Monday 21 April 2025 to Tuesday 30 September 2025, and its effect will be to close Outertown Road, Stromness, when required. Vehicles using this length of road may be subject to delays and possible speed restrictions of either ten miles, twenty miles or thirty miles per hour. Vehicular traffic may also be restricted to using one lane of the carriageway. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a length of road is closed.
