The Orkney Islands Council (Glaitness Road, Kirkwall) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during Orkney Builders (Contractors) Ltd’s roadworks on behalf of Scottish Water to enable them to lay a new section of watermain and connect adjacent properties to the new water main in safety.

The Order will be in operation from Monday 1 August 2022 to Sunday 21 August 2022 and its effect will be to close Glaitness Road, Kirkwall, from its junction with Soulisquoy Place to the western boundary of the property of Stromberry, Kirkwall, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when the road is closed.
