The Orkney Islands Council (Festive lighting) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users while Orkney Islands Council tests, installs and removes festive lighting.
The Order will be in operation from Monday 7 September 2026 to Friday 5 February 2027. The effect of the Order will be to close the roads in the Schedule below, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
