The Orkney Islands Council (Broad Street, Kirkwall 2) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users while R Clouston Ltd carry out a high-level survey.

The Order will be in operation on Sunday 7 June 2026. The effect of the Order will be to close (1) Albert Street, between its junctions with Laing Street and Broad Street, Kirkwall (2) Broad Street, between its junction with Albert Street and Palace Road, Kirkwall and (3) Castle Street, from Broad Street to car park exit, Kirkwall, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a length of road is closed.
