The Orkney Islands Council (Additional Roadworks) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of site personnel and road users while general carriageway repairs and maintenance are carried out.
The Order will be in operation from Monday 12 May 2025 to Wednesday 31 December 2025, and its effect will be to close the sections of the roads referred to in the Schedule below, when required. Vehicles using these lengths of road may be subject to delays and possible speed restrictions of either ten miles, twenty miles or thirty miles per hour. Vehicular traffic may also be restricted to using one lane of the carriageway. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
