Temporary Exemption of access rights at Binscarth Wood, Finstown for Orkney 2025 Mountain Bike Cross Country

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of Section 11(1) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 to ensure the safe exercise of the Orkney 2025 Mountain Bike Cross Country event.

The order will be in operation on Thursday 17 July 2025 between the hours of 0800 and 1700 and its effect will be to exempt the land at Binscarth Wood, Finstown, outlined in blue on the plan below, from access rights which would otherwise be exercisable.
