Temporary Closure of Roads in Kirkwall for Norwegian Constitution Day

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to the effect that, in connection with Norwegian Constitution Day, the roads referred to in the schedule below will be closed and parking will not be permitted on Sunday 17 May 2026 between 10am and 4.15pm. Emergency service vehicles are exempt from the prohibition.
Schedule
Albert Street; Bridge Street; Broad Street; Harbour Street; Castle Street (car park exit to Broad Street); Palace Road (Watergate to Broad Street); Tankerness Lane (one way section only); and Victoria Street (Broad Street to Victoria Road).
