Temporary Closure of Roads in Kirkwall for Boys Brigade Parades

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during the holding of Boys Brigade Parades.

The effect of the Order will be to (1) close Thom Street and Palace Road, both Kirkwall, between 10.30 and 12.30 on Sunday 1 March 2026; and (2) close Thom Street, Palace Road and Broad Street, all Kirkwall, between 10.30 to 13.00 on Sunday 22 March 2026.

Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
