Stationery and printer contract awarded to local firm

A contract to supply Orkney Islands Council with general office stationery, equipment and printer cartridges and toner has been awarded to local company Sinclair Office Supplies.
The contract award follows a Public Contracts Scotland national tendering exercise.
Established in 1996 Sinclair Office Supplies has been supplying stationery and office equipment in Orkney for nearly 30 years.
The contract will cover over 40 office locations across the Council’s various sites.
Colin Sinclair from Sinclair Offices Supplies said: “We are delighted to formalise our long-standing relationship with Orkney Islands Council and view these contracts as an endorsement of the standards of service and added value we provide. It’s very pleasing to demonstrate that we can be competitive on a national level, and we appreciate the benefits to the local economy that such awards bring.”
Alex Rodwell is the Council’s Head of Performance and Business Support, which includes corporate administration. He said: “We are pleased to award this contract to Sinclair Office Supplies following a robust national procurement process. As a long-established local business with a strong track record, Sinclair Office Supplies has demonstrated its ability to deliver high-quality services and value for money across our estate.
“This contract supports the consistent provision of essential office supplies to our teams in over 40 locations, while also contributing to the local economy by working with a trusted Orkney supplier.”
