Product recall – Jolly Ranchers

Our Food Team is urging local businesses and householders to check their stock or ‘sweeties stash’ for certain Jolly Ranchers products. 

Some of the products produced by The Hershey Company under the Jolly Ranchers brand are not intended for sale in the UK as they contain mineral oils – which have not been cleared by the UK’s Food Standard Agency.  

The specific products are: 

 Retailers should remove these products from sale immediately. 

The Hershey Company themselves have stopped providing them to the UK market, but it has been found they have entered the market by other suppliers.  

Jolly Rancher Sours are currently cleared for sale but are being removed from the market by The Hershey Company this summer.  

If you have any of the listed products, do not use/eat/serve them - follow the advice on the Food Standards Agency recall notice at Food Alert For Action: Consumers who have purchased and Food Businesses who have purchased and sold Jolly Rancher products manufactured by The Hershey Company | Food Standards Agency which includes returning affected products to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.
