Orkney Islands Council launches new Facebook page for job vacancies

People interested in working for Orkney Islands Council will soon have a new, dedicated place to find the latest vacancies and recruitment information.

The Council has launched a new OIC Jobs Facebook page, bringing all job advertisements together in one place and making it easier for prospective applicants to find and follow opportunities across the organisation.

Until now, vacancies have been shared through the main Orkney Islands Council Facebook page alongside a wide range of service updates, community information and news. As the volume of content on the Council's social media channels has increased, it has become more difficult for users to quickly identify recruitment opportunities.

The new page will provide a dedicated space for vacancies, helping job opportunities stand out and making it easier for job seekers to stay informed about current openings.

The main Orkney Islands Council Facebook page will continue to be used for Council news, service updates and community information. Significant or high-profile vacancies may also be shared on the main page where appropriate.
