Orkney Business Survey 2025/26 – Have your say  

 The Council is inviting local businesses to have their say in the 25/26 business survey. 

Through its Business Gateway and Economic Development teams, the Council provides advice, support and financial assistance to help local businesses start up, grow and reach new markets. 

The Economic Development Grants aim to address market failure and encourage the sustainable growth of Orkney‑based businesses - creating jobs, increasing income, and helping to generate wealth within Orkney. 

The Council is currently reviewing the financial support that it offers and is inviting businesses across Orkney to share their views. 

Laura Hutton, Economic Development Manager at the Council, said: 

 “We hope that Orkney businesses of all sizes and sectors take this opportunity to help shape the economic development support on offer.” 

The survey is open until Sunday 11 January.
