Hup recycling facility closed til further notice due to dumping

Our recycling facility at St Margarets Hope site will be closed until further notice, until we can clear up the site which at present - due to the large amount of bruck dumped there recently - is a health and safety risk to other site users.

Items brought to our waste and recycling facilities need to go fully into their designated skip or receptacle.

Waste and recycling left beside skips leads to tips being closed until we can free up a lorry and driver to deal with it.

So please, for your fellow community members, use our facilities responsibly and give our waste team a shout if you have tricky items to deal with.

In the case of scrap metal, Orkney Aggregates may be able to help and you may even get a return on it.
