Consumers and businesses urged to check for recalled FGS Ingredients Ltd products

The Council’s Food Law Team is urging local businesses and householders to check their food stores for a variety of products containing undeclared peanut powder in mustard products. 

There’s a considerable list of products which can be viewed: View PDF (food.gov.uk) and Update 12 FGS Ingredients Ltd recalls a number of products containing mustard powder because of undeclared peanuts | Food Standards Agency 

These products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts. 

The Council’s Food Law Officer / Port Health Officer, Carolyn Charles, said: “I would like to reach out to the wider community as affected products may have been bought by the general public, in addition to businesses, from shops south for instance. I would ask them to check their food stores and follow the advice on the recall notice if they find any.”
