Exams

With ‘exam results day’ fast approaching, support is on hand for senior students and parents to navigate what can be a nervy day for some.

SQA exam results will be published on Tuesday 5th August 2025.

Results will be delivered by email or text from 8:00am onwards to candidates who signed up to the MySQA service.

Results will also be posted to all candidates. If the post has arrived and you haven’t received your results, contact your school/college who will be able to give them to you.

There is lots of support available to learners in understanding results and planning next steps.

A guide to understanding your SQA Certificate can be found on Scottish Qualifications Certificate (SQC) - SQA.

If you think there is something missing from your certificate, please talk to your school/college.

If you think there is something wrong with a result, you may be able to appeal. Deadlines for making an appeal are as follows:

  • Tuesday 12 August: The last date you, or your parent or carer, can submit apriorityappeal. A priority appeal is when you have a conditional place at a university or college dependent on the result.
  • Thursday 21 August: The last date your school, college or training provider can submit apriorityappeal on your behalf.
  • Tuesday 26 August: The last date you, or your parent or carer, can submit an appeal.
  • Friday 29 August: The last date your school, college or training provider can submit an appeal for you.
