Binscarth Woods Family Learning Activities

The Learning Link are hosting free Family Learning Activities in Binscarth Woods during the October break.

Activities for the whole family include:

• Identifying different species of trees, plants and fungi 🌳🌿🍄
• Arts & Crafts 🖍️📝
• Orienteering🧭
• Bushcraft 🐾
• Archery 🏹

In addition to the activities mentioned above, there will be a story telling session on offer each day between1.00pm and 1.45pm everyone is welcome to attend.

Fruit and cold drinks will also be provided free.

Places are available to children aged 5 to 11 who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The sessions will run on the following days and times:

• Session 1 - Monday 27th October - 2pm to 5pm
• Session 2 - Tuesday 28th October - 10am to 1pm
• Session 3 - Tuesday 28th October - 2pm to 5pm

To book a place, please contact The Learning Link at 01856 879200 and tell us which session you would like to book on and we will take your details.

Please note, spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

If you are allocated a place you will be sent further information and medical consent forms. One form is required for each member of the family participating in the activities. Completed forms will be required on the day prior to the activity session families have signed up for commencing.

On the day

We request that participants arrive 15 minutes prior to the session start time.

Participants should also bring the following:

• Welly boots/old trainers 
• Warm Jacket or Jumper
• Spare Socks
• Windproof/Waterproof Jacket
• Spare Trousers (Not Denim)
• Packed Lunch/snack & water bottle.
• Completed consent forms.
