The Scottish Government has notified Orkney Islands Council today, Wednesday 30 June, of its decision to grant the Council’s appeal in respect of a planning application to extend Cursiter Quarry in Firth.

The Royal Navy Northern Diving Group will march through Kirkwall on July 9 as part of formalities conferring the Freedom of Orkney on the organisation.
