Recycling Centres - What and Where to Recycle
The Recycling Centres (Civic Amenity Sites) are provided for domestic use only.

General information
Each waste type must be placed into the correct container. Please observe the signs onsite as materials placed in the wrong container could contaminate the contents making them non-recyclable.
Commercial waste is not permitted and must be taken to Chinglebraes Waste Transfer Station. Commercial Inert waste (e.g. stones, soil, etc.), garden waste and hazardous waste must be taken to Bossack Landfill Site. Please refer to the Commercial Waste section of the council’s website for any details.
All materials that are collected separately and without contamination are recycled by Orkney Islands Council.
