Single ensuite rooms, twin rooms (limited numbers, without ensuite), 4 fully wheelchair accessible rooms, lifts to all floors, ample communal space (including big screen area), table football and pool tables, music room with piano, outdoor picnic and barbeque area, continental or full Scottish breakfast, meeting areas, wifi and access to computers, car and coach parking, secure bike storage, all bedding and towels included, laundry facilities and wet weather gear drying area, evening meals and lunches, choice of Orkney themed menu (on request), packed lunches.

A great facility that met all the needs and requirements of the team travelling as part of the contingent that took the Queen's Baton around Scotland over 40 days.

The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable and after a full day's work, there was nothing better than getting back to your room for a hot shower and a comfortable bed.

The main lounge was a meeting point of an evening to chat about the day, challenge each other to table football or pool or to relax in front of the TV.

I have no hesitation in recommending the Papdale Halls of Residence as a place to stay for a group or sporting team – you and your group won’t be disappointed.
