Orkneys BSL Plan 2024-2030

This document contains the draft Orkney Islands Council British Sign Language (BSL) Plan for 2024–2030, shaped by Scotland’s national plan and local needs. It reviews progress since 2018 and sets actions to improve data, training, awareness, accessible communication and participation for BSL users across education, employment, health, transport, justice and public life. It also explains how progress will be monitored through partnership working and reporting, and defines key terms.
