Birsay's Local Place Plan

This document contains the Birsay Local Place Plan, a community-led vision for a sustainable and thriving parish. Shaped by local surveys, events and discussions, it sets out priorities for safer and greener travel, sustainable tourism, heritage, natural spaces, housing, local businesses and community facilities. It includes an action plan with short- and medium-term steps, such as creating a rural transport hub, improving paths, supporting affordable housing and strengthening volunteer-led projects.
