Aims

Talented Young Persons and Talented Performers Grant

• To help talented individuals travel to events, national squad training and competitions at a national level.

Criteria and Amounts Available

These grants will be discontinued from 1 April 2017. Please do not complete Form G1 after this date.

The Talented Young Persons and Talented Performers Grants will continue as outlined below.

Talented Young Persons Grant - Form G2

Talented young person aged 18 and under who has been invited to participate at national or international level – 75% of the cost of participation or a maximum of £110.00 per trip.

Talented Performer Grant - Form G3

Talented performer aged 19 and over who has been invited to participate at national or international level – 75% of the cost of participation or a maximum of £110.00 per trip.

The Application Process

1. Application Form

Forms G2-3 must be completed and returned to the Council at least 2 weeks prior to the event for which the application is being made. No more than 2 trips may be applied for at one time and no application will be accepted more than 3 months in advance. These forms can be downloaded in PDF format from the ‘Related Downloads’ section of this page.

Please be aware that the General Travel Grants of £6.50 and £13.00 are no longer available with effect from 1 April 2017.

2. Claim Form

Form G4 must be completed and returned to the Council within 1 month from the date of the event. This will be sent out to applicants once their initial application has been approved.

Enhanced grants will be subject to a maximum of 3 claims per person, per year.
