Standards of Care

Care Homes are registered with the Care Inspectorate to care for you. A link to Inspection Reports can be found on the 'About Us' page.

It may be that at some time during your stay there could be something which you are not happy about. If this is the case you should bring the matter to the attention of the Duty Senior or the Unit Lead. You may, if it is easier for you, ask someone else to complain on your behalf. If you want to speak with the Unit Lead or Duty Senior at any time no appointment is required. It’s an open door policy that will welcome your opinions.

Orkney Health and Care has a formal Complaints Procedure which is available to you. Information leaflets are available around the homes. Alternatively, you may wish to contact the Care Inspectorate.
