Orkney Marketing

This is a joint marketing scheme between HIE Orkney and Orkney Islands Council and administered by HIE Orkney.

The aim of Orkney Marketing is to heighten awareness throughout the country of the high quality of Orkney produced goods and services and of Orkney in general by focused external marketing effort. Another aim is to encourage local businesses to deliver high quality goods and services which is in line with the natural inclination of Orkney producers.

This is done through internal marketing effort and assisting industry groups to consolidate effort and share experience.

Trade Fairs

As part of its marketing effort the Council works with businesses and industry associations to organise and support the creation of joint stands at selected trade fairs and other promotional events. Recent events supported by the Council include the Bath and West Show, Country Living and All Energy.
