Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of site personnel and road users while sewer connection, road widening and access construction works are carried out.
The Order will come into operation on Friday 12 June 2020 for the period until and including Friday 3 July 2020, and its effect will be to close Wardhill Road, Stromness from Brownstown Road to Downies Lane and Downies Lane, Stromness from Braemor to Wardhill Road, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when the road is closed.
